New feature on yesnetwork.com - a terrific way to interact with Yankees media and fans.
The great Jorge Posada returns to Yankee Stadium today for the home opener. He’ll be throwing out the ceremonial first pitch.
It occurred to me (and probably others) that the great Yankee catcher might be more comfortable in a slight different role:
In any case, Jorge Posada is back for the much-deserved recognition his potentially Hall of Fame career merits.

That was a big-time haymaker the Rays just threw. There is virtually nothing positive to take away from an opening weekend sweep, especially to a division rival.
The Rays played great baseball and took it to the Yankees all weekend.
Is there any doubt that Joe Maddon’s shifts worked? His players were in position all weekend. The Rays just drew up a pretty good blue print for beating the Yankees. That’s a problem.
Baltimore is no doubt licking their chops. The Yankees need to get off the mat quick and get ready to start winning some games.
I’m increasingly impressed with yesnetwork.com’s content. They’re adding great articles lately. The design and layout of the site is getting better. And I’m happy they’re using Disqus comments more and more on the site.
One thing I’d like to see them do better is improve their fan blogs. I looked into posting this blog on their fan blog site but it does not allow for any customization and features are limited. (Memo to YES: I would prefer to blog there, amongst engaged Yankees fans.)
Check out yesnetwork.com for Yankees news and updates.
In other news, opening day was harsh. A crazy game that culminated in a heartbreaker. It’s time to get rid of yesterday’s nasty taste - I can’t wait for game 2.
